# AI assistants (MCP)

> Use Prozly from Claude, Cursor and other apps that support MCP: see ideas, create drafts and schedule posts.

Prozly has an MCP server, so you can work with it from an AI assistant instead of (or alongside) the app. Available on **Professional, Agency and Enterprise** (not Starter).

## Connecting

Go to **Channels → AI assistants**. The page shows:

* **Server URL**: `https://app.prozly.ai/api/mcp`.
* A button to create an **access token**: give it a name (e.g. "Claude Desktop on my laptop") and optionally mark it **Read only**. The token is shown **once**, copy it immediately and treat it like a password.
* A ready setup snippet for **Claude Desktop**, **Claude Code**, **Cursor** or **VS Code**, with your new token filled in right after you create it.

Your tokens list shows name, prefix, Read only / Read and write, created date and last used; **Revoke** removes access immediately. Owners and admins also see other members' tokens and can revoke them. Viewers only get read-only tokens.

## Setup snippets

**Claude Code**, run in your terminal:

```
claude mcp add --transport http prozly https://app.prozly.ai/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
```

**Claude Desktop** (needs Node.js): Settings → Developer → Edit Config, add to `claude_desktop_config.json`, then restart Claude Desktop:

```json theme={null}
{ "mcpServers": { "prozly": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://app.prozly.ai/api/mcp", "--header", "Authorization:${PROZLY_AUTH}"], "env": { "PROZLY_AUTH": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" } } } }
```

**Cursor**, add to `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json theme={null}
{ "mcpServers": { "prozly": { "url": "https://app.prozly.ai/api/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" } } } }
```

**VS Code**, add to `.vscode/mcp.json`:

```json theme={null}
{ "servers": { "prozly": { "type": "http", "url": "https://app.prozly.ai/api/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" } } } }
```

<Note>
  Claude.ai on the web or mobile, and ChatGPT, connect with a sign-in (OAuth) instead of a token. That is coming next. Until then, use Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code.
</Note>

## What your assistant can do

* **See ideas**: this week's AI-suggested ideas and new inbox items.
* **Ask what Prozly knows about your brand**: company, audience, pillars, voice profile and knowledge.
* **Create content** from a piece of text, an idea or an inbox item: a LinkedIn post, a quick or thorough blog article, a lead magnet (checklist or guide), a template carousel, or one AI image. This creates a draft, exactly like in the app: nothing is published automatically.
* **List and read packs.**
* **Schedule** a post or blog article for a time (it publishes automatically to your connected LinkedIn account, or reminds you if nothing is connected), or **submit a pack for review** where your workspace uses approval.
* **Get an analytics summary**: published posts vs. the previous period, what's upcoming, and on Professional and above, likes, comments, shares and best posts.

Your assistant acts as you, with your role in the workspace: it can't schedule a pack that is waiting for approval or was rejected, and on plans with an approval workflow, an Editor's content still needs an owner or admin to approve it. Every action is recorded in the audit log.

<Note>
  Creating content uses your workspace's [AI credits](/billing/credits), at the same prices as doing it in the app (for example 1 credit for a post, 3 for a quick blog article, 6 for a thorough one). If your balance is too low, the assistant tells you and nothing is created or charged.
</Note>

## Limits

Up to 60 requests per minute per token, and up to 20 content creations per hour per token.

## Disconnecting

**Revoke** a token any time on **Channels → AI assistants**: the assistant loses access immediately.
