# Custom blog domain

> Serve your blog from blog.yourcompany.com instead of the prozly.site subdomain.

Your blog starts at `yourcompany.prozly.site`. A **custom domain** — typically `blog.yourcompany.com` — puts it on your own address, which most companies prefer for brand and SEO reasons.

## Availability

* **Business**: included.
* **Professional**: available as an add-on for **€9 / month**, added to your existing subscription and cancellable any time.
* Not available during a free trial.

## Connecting a domain

1. Go to **Blog → Settings → Custom domain**. On Professional, enable the add-on first — you'll see the price and confirm before anything is charged.
2. Enter the domain, e.g. `blog.yourcompany.com`, and click **Connect**.
3. Prozly shows the DNS records to add at your domain provider: a **CNAME** for a subdomain (or an **A** record for a bare domain), plus a **TXT** record in some cases.
4. Add the records, then click **Check status**. DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a day to propagate.

Once the status shows **Active**, the domain serves your blog with its own certificate. The old `prozly.site` address permanently redirects to it, so nothing you have shared breaks and search engines move to the new address.

## Things to know

* One custom domain per blog.
* If you later remove the domain, the `prozly.site` address takes over again.
* If you verified the blog in Google Search Console under the old address, add the custom domain as a new property — see [getting found on Google](/guides/blog-seo).
