# Content strategy

> Define your pillars and audience once — Prozly keeps every post on-strategy and tracks how well you follow it.

Your content strategy is the difference between *posting* and *building a presence*. In Prozly it lives in **Settings → Content Strategy** and quietly steers everything the AI writes for you.

<Note>
Content Strategy is available on the Pro and Business plans.

## What a strategy contains

| Part | What it is | Example |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Content pillars** | The 3–5 topics you want to be known for | "AI in operations", "Leadership lessons", "Behind the scenes" |
| **Target personas** | Who you write for, one sentence each | "IT managers at mid-size companies evaluating automation" |
| **Posting goals** | What success looks like for you | "2 posts per week, grow inbound leads" |
| **Target distribution** | How often each pillar should appear | 40% pillar one, 30% pillar two… |

## Let the AI draft it first

You don't have to start from a blank page. Click **Generate strategy** and Prozly drafts pillars, personas, and a distribution from your brand profile and imported content. Then edit — the AI's draft is a starting point, your edits make it yours.

## What the strategy changes

Once saved, your strategy is injected into content generation, so drafts lean toward your pillars and speak to your personas. You'll also see:

* **Adherence tracking** — the dashboard widget compares your recent posts against your target distribution, so you can see when one pillar is being neglected.
* **Daily suggestions** — the scheduler suggests what to post today based on which pillar is due.
* **Weekly ideas** — the Monday idea drop generates against your pillars, not random topics.

## Tips

* **Fewer pillars beat more.** Three sharp pillars build recognition faster than six vague ones.
* **Revisit monthly, not daily.** A strategy only works if you give it a few weeks to show a pattern.
* **Personas can be rough.** One honest sentence about who should stop scrolling is enough for the AI to aim.
