# Recipes

> Let Prozly plan and draft posts when a new video appears, news breaks, a post does well or a new week starts. Drafts wait for your approval.

A **recipe** is one rule in plain words: *when* something happens, Prozly *plans* a number of posts and writes the drafts, *then* they wait for you. A recipe never publishes anything.

<Note>
  Available on Professional (3 active recipes per workspace), Agency and Enterprise (no limit). Owners and admins set recipes up; other members see them.
</Note>

## Where to find it

Go to **Settings → Automation**. Recipes are at the top.

## Set one up

* **Describe it in a sentence**, for example "When a new video appears on my channel, plan 5 posts from it", and click **Turn into a recipe**. This is free. You check and adjust the recipe before saving.
* Or **start from a template**: New video on my channel, Plan my week every Monday, Big news in my field, Follow up on a post that did well, New article from my sources.

Each recipe has:

* **When**: a new video on a followed YouTube channel, a new item from a followed source, a news item with a high score, every week on a day and hour, or a post that got at least 2x (or 1.5x, 3x, 5x) your average engagement.
* **Number of posts**: 2 to 14, or Auto (based on the length of the video or article).
* **Then**: drafts wait in the scheduler for approval, drafts are sent for review (plans with the approval workflow), or Prozly only makes the plan and notifies you.
* **Weekly credit cap** (required).

## Credits

Before you save, the recipe shows what one run costs, for example "about 9 credits: plan + 5 posts", and how many runs the cap allows a week. A cap above a quarter of your monthly credits asks you to confirm.

A run is charged like the same work in the app: 2 credits for the plan, then each draft at its normal price. On each recipe you see this week's credits against the cap, and its last runs with what each cost.

* At **80% of the cap** you get a notification.
* When the **cap is reached**, the recipe pauses until Monday.
* When your **balance runs low**, all recipes pause together and continue once you top up or your credits renew.
* The **daily digest email** has a Recipes line with what they used.

## What a run makes

The plan is the same as in [Plan my next 2 weeks](/guides/plan-two-weeks): one idea per slot, with a date and the formats that fit. A video or article recipe writes every draft from the source itself. The drafts appear on their days in the scheduler as **Draft, awaiting approval**. With "Only plan and notify me", open the plan from the notification or the recipe and create the drafts yourself.

Recipes are checked every hour. Switch one off with its switch, change it with the pencil, or delete it (plans and drafts it made stay).
