# Connecting sources

> Feed Prozly with RSS feeds, websites, YouTube channels, and LinkedIn pages.

Sources are where Prozly's content pipeline starts. Each source is attached to a **watchlist**; Prozly checks your watchlists regularly and pulls in new items automatically.

## Source types

| Type                      | What Prozly does with it                                                                                         |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **RSS feed**              | Ingests new articles as they're published. The most reliable source type — use it whenever a site offers a feed. |
| **Website**               | Monitors a page for new content when no RSS feed is available.                                                   |
| **YouTube channel**       | Picks up new videos and repurposes them into text posts (see below).                                             |
| **LinkedIn company page** | Tracks a company's posts — useful for competitor and industry monitoring.                                        |
| **Manual import**         | Paste any URL directly; it goes into a dedicated manual-imports list.                                            |

## Adding a source

1. Go to **Watchlists** and open (or create) a watchlist.
2. Click **Add source**, choose the type, and paste the URL.
3. Prozly validates the source and starts ingesting on the next run.

You can also import articles from anywhere on the web via the [Chrome extension](/guides/chrome-extension) — right-click a page and send it to Prozly.

## What happens to ingested items

Every new item runs through the AI pipeline:

1. **Relevance scoring** — low-signal items are filtered out so your feed stays useful.
2. **Deduplication** — near-identical stories from different sources are collapsed.
3. **Summarization** — each item gets a concise summary so you can scan quickly.

Only then does an item appear in your feed, ready to be transformed into a draft.

## YouTube repurposing

For YouTube sources, Prozly can turn a video into platform-ready text posts: it extracts what was said, finds the strongest angles, and drafts posts in your brand voice. Each repurpose uses AI credits (see [credits](/billing/credits)).
